Become Part of Our Community

Joining Action on Disability (AoD) as a member offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of a community that’s driving change for disabled people. Membership is free and open to everyone who supports our mission to empower disabled individuals and promote an inclusive society.

There are two types of AoD membership:

Full Membership: This is available to any disabled member

Associate Membership: This is available to any non-disabled person

Empowerment and Representation: Your membership amplifies our voice, enabling us to advocate more effectively for the rights and needs of disabled people. Together, we can push for societal changes that make a real difference.

Stay Informed: Receive regular updates on our work, including breakthroughs in our advocacy, updates on our services, and stories from the community we support. Our e-newsletter will keep you informed about the latest developments and how you can get involved.

Influence Our Direction: Members have a say in our work. From feedback on our services to input on our strategic direction, your insights and experiences will help shape our future.

Exclusive Invitations: Get invited to AoD events, workshops, and activities. These can range from informative sessions on disability rights to community gatherings and celebrations.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about disability rights and inclusion. Our events and forums provide a space for members to share experiences, offer support, and collaborate on initiatives.

Who Can Join?

Anyone who supports the mission and values of AoD is welcome to join us as a member. Whether you’re a disabled person, a carer, a professional in the field, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, we’d love to have you on board.

How to Join

Joining is easy! Simply fill out our online membership form with your details, and you’ll be added to our membership roster. Alternatively, you can contact us directly at info@aod.org.uk or call us at 020 7385 2098 to express your interest in becoming a member.

All the benefits of AoD membership are available to both full and associate members but the Board of Trustees must comprise at least 75% disabled people. All full and associate members must live, study or work in the West London boroughs and be aged over 16. (The West London boroughs are Hammersmith & Fulham, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster).
